About the Role

We are seeking a passionate Sales Manager with a strong work history, the ability to lead a remote team and experience within the interior design industry. The position will be managing the team in the West Coast and driving new trade business. From August 2021 – January 2022, the person in this role will be acting Manager for the East Coast region, to cover the maternity leave of the East Coast Sales Manager. We have established ourselves as a global player in the rug industry with showrooms in Los Angeles, New York, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. The successful candidate will be working remotely until a San Francisco Showroom and Office is located. Reporting to the US Director of Sales and Operations, your role as the Sales Manager will be, although not limited to:

  • Strong leadership and development of Account Managers in line with company values
  • Lead team to achieve sales targets
  • Working with Director of Sales to set and implement sales strategies
  • Assist in set up and management of San Francisco showroom
  • Product and Company promotion to the interior design industry and to the retail stores across assigned territories
  • Schedule and give presentations to Interior Designers and Architects
  • Business development and new client prospecting – setting strategy to meet and exceed West Coast Sales targets
  • Managing client portfolio – orders, samples, information, product care, claims, trouble shooting, sales leads, monitoring orders through to delivery
  • Presenting professional, bright & helpful customer service
  • Product Knowledge: To be familiar with the construction of the products, and be able to recommend products for different applications
  • Keeping online contact database organised and current of new and existing Company contacts

About You

We are searching for a dynamic sales professional, who can demonstrate:

  • At least 5 years Sales Management experience
  • Strong leadership, and coaching/mentoring skills
  • Strong network through the design community is an advantage
  • A proven Sales record
  • Utmost professional presentation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and to multi- task
  • A positive and driven approach to work
